The Harbour Garden

In the harbour garden - anchorage
A calming sun laps the warming wall
Cradled in the roots of a pinned pear sapling
The dust of a vivid past
As bone meal
In material flux feeds
An expectation of fruit

Willing hands have built this place
To flower in the bite of gales
Nothing is at an end here
All is held
In the wind resisting benevolence of stone
And the life giving sweep of the sun
